// Quote of the day

You become more beautiful every day. You already look like next week.

How sweet! Made me smile and reminded me of the following pic I had in my archive.

Christoph Waltz

With the Golden Globes behind and the Academy Awards ahead of us, not to forget Berlinale Film Festival kicking off next week, I am getting into movie mode again. Snuggeling into my cosy knitted jumper, grabbing my best friend and (don’t forget the glasses!) making myself comfy in the back row of a great old cinema nearby.  Read the rest of this entry »

A collection of drawn pieces

A collection of drawn pieces

Elvira ‘t Hart is a recent fashion graduate from Amsterdam. For her latest collection she turned her sketches into garments reduced to the drawn lines and the areas of course that are not filled by the pen. Love the jacket!

1990 membran wand ulrich eller

Truth be told, the new year already brought a lot of new directions, tasks and people into my life. Yet, others are out of it. Seems, sometimes you have to give up on them, not because you don’t care but because they don’t or slow you down.

As changes naturally go along with an emotional roller coaster, I tend to turn up the volume. Actually, I haven’t danced that much nor fervently sang along every track on my week’s playlist for a while. To freely adapt Victor Hugo // Music expresses that, which cannot be said out loud and that, which cannot remain silent.

Also, I am currently working on a music video with a friend of mine, who is about to release her first album. (O you crazy colleen, good to have you back!) It’s so much fun to be surrounded by people again with passion for what they do AND having a ball while doing it. It was therefore no surprise, that this weeks link collection turned out to be all about music, passion… and “kind of friends”. Read the rest of this entry »

// Wise man

Tarantino is a visionary director with an incredible sixth sense for identifying creative talent. Commissioning a track from the R & B king of now, Frank Ocean, for his latest major motion picture release ‘Django Unchained’ a melodic ballad was born. Listen to ‘Wise Man’, a song that didn’t make the cut for the film but still sounds epic. Pure brilliance.

Berlin fashion week is over and even though I spent more time at the trade shows than in the fashion tent, thanx to google reader and the hardworking bloggers and photographers out there, I got a nice overview about the presented trends and collections. Most of the designs I will probably have forgotten by the end of the week. Still, there are a few pieces that – if only I could – I’d order straight away. Read the rest of this entry »

// Esteban Cortazar

As mentioned in my last post, I am trying to find the perfect jumpsuit to finally make peace with this garment and enjoy the comfort of a onesie. Now, browsing the web I came across Estaban Cortazar again. The former Ungaro creative director first caught my eye when he was re-launching his brand with a new line exclusively on Net-a-Porter last September. Read the rest of this entry »

// Jumpsuit. next generation

When I saw Lena Dunham on the red carpet for the season two premiere of Girls I wasn’t quite sure what to think of her outfit. She was wearing a Valentino onesie, that was not really flattering but still she was rocking the look. What is it with jumpsuits that I cannot decide whether to hate or love them? // ‘Cu’ at home

“Take care of the pence…” When talking about copper, people usually have a pence or penny in mind. Looks like those days are gone since the orange-brown metal has become the latest trend in interior design and home decor.

My copper love first sparked 2 years ago. Read the rest of this entry »
